Provides care to a population w/ predictable ophthalmic needs & assists the providers in caring for more acute needs.<br/>Essential Functions:<br/>- Screen patients for chief compliant, take accurate history of Ophthalmic illnesses/surgeries, past ocular history, family history, & current eye related medications<br/>- Perform Ophthalmic testing as approp for the patient<br/>- Must be able to perform papillary assessment to rule out afferent defect & check pupil size, corneal curvature & color vision testing<br/>- Must be able to perform lensometry, including reading lenses w/ multifocal & progressive adds, power of sphere, axis of cylinder power & orientation of prism<br/>- Perform intraocular pressure checks using Applanation tonometry & also using the Tonopen.<br/>- Perform confrontation visual fields<br/>- Must be able to perform cover/uncover test, alternate cover test & quantify strabismus; must be able to document ocular motility & the presence of strabismus or nystagmus; perform Worth 4 dot test & Stereopsis test; to test near point of convergence, ductions, versions & vergences; & perform Potential Acuity Meter testing, Glare testing<br/>- Must demonstrate ability to check/recognize narrow angle. Mental health RN's provide regional support to the Mental Health Department prescriber team members in OR and WA as assigned geographically, regionally, by population or per specialty area below. The Advise RN and the Case Management RN are two distinct and separate roles. Mental Health RNs perform distinct and separate duties as referenced above. All mental Health RN's are cross trained and oriented to the duties of Advice RN and RN Case Management prior to being assigned to work. Cross training and competency ensure we maintain safe and efficient workflows.
