Description:
Job Summary:

Position exists to coordinate and provide non-physician cosmetic care as a supplemental service for members.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates and maintains skin care products for sale to members (works directly with vendors, orders supplies, keeps accurate inventory, monitors monthly financial statements, accountable for inventory).

  • Actively recruits members for cosmetic services by interacting with physicians, staff and members.

  • Develops displays and hand-outs to promote services.

  • Provides direct aesthetician services: facial peels, consultations regarding skin care, etc.

  • Is accountable for generating adequate revenue to support position.

  • Interacts with physicians and staff in professional manner.

  • Provides monthly and year-end accounting of product sales and client activities.

  • May provide group education classes and in-services for staff.

  • Manages cash sales.

  • Regularly updates credential and aesthetician services content knowledge.
Basic Qualifications:

Experience


  • Minimum one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years providing aesthetician services.


Education


  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

  • Graduate of an accredited Cosmetology School program.


License, Certification, Registration


  • Esthetician License (California)


Additional Requirements:


  • Demonstrated marketing skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, co-workers and vendors.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of skin and skin care products.

  • Ability to instruct and train clientele and support staff on their use.

  • Experience with sales and cash handling.

  • Computer literate, able to organize and present data.

  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.

  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Travel: Yes, 15 % of the Time On-site: Work location is on-site (KP designated office, medical office building or hospital).
