Site Support Specialist (Intermediate ROSOIM 002) Roseville, CA

Provides immediate end-user support to patient care & business process teams to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration & use of KP HealthConnect & related systems. Performs basic hardware & application support, workflow integration, troubleshooting, & consulting on related applications.
Essential Functions:
- Provide end-user support for the use of the KP HealthConnect system including other related system implementations & upgrades.
- Respond to & monitor service requests, diagnose, troubleshoot & coordinate resolution of technical problems & information technology issues related to the electronic medical record.
- Analyze situations in the clinical environment to resolve technical problems.
- Identify & coordinate new processes, system functionality, system changes & enhancements to support clinical information & meet business needs.
- Facilitates the installation & implementation of KP HealthConnect & hardware equipment between IT departments & the patient care & business process teams.
- Develop processes to promote & communicate the integration of new or enhanced business & clinical systems into the business & patient care setting & their effectiveness.
- Provides basic training & consulting to end-user to facilitate learning of basic & specialized applications. Leads classes for end users on HealthConnect application.
- Shares knowledge & learning w/ other Site Support Specialist.
- Supervision Received
- Is competent in most phases of HealthConnect application to work independently.
- Typically works under general supervision of Lead or Manager.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making
- Analyzes problems & takes corrective action.
- Collaborates w/ associates to suggest resolution of problems.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- 1-3 years related experience OR 6 months experience with the EPIC application.
- 2-4 years healthcare operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient with office suite type applications.
- Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, other staff and vendors.
- Proficient in 3 HealthConnect Suites: ADT, Revenue Capture and Ambulatory.
- Knowledge of computer science theory or health care, application and customer support experience.

Schedule Details: On-Call work will be required on a rotating basis.
