Registered Nurse Oncology\Chemotherapy Cleveland Heights, OH

This Registered Nurse position provides comprehensive care to Oncology/Hematology patients in an outpatient Oncology Clinic setting.
Essential Functions:
- Initiates care management of selected groups of members by providing the following: assessment; establishment of a plan of care through application of evidenced-based treatment modalities; and promoting adherence to the plan of care through education and self-management routines
- Conducts, documents, and modifies as needed the nursing assessment of patients by collecting, reporting, and documenting objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner. Analyzes the assessment data and establishes, accepts, or modifies the Nursing Diagnosis for use as a basis for nursing interventions
- Implements the nursing plan of care that includes executing the current regime duly prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist, optometrist, podiatrist, or advanced practice nurse according to their individual scope of practice. Administers medication, treatment, and executes regimes in a timely manner as authorized by an appropriately authorized individual. Delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff provided all conditions set forth by the Ohio Board of Nursing are met. Serves as clinical resource
- Documents, communicates, and evaluates in an accurate and timely manner the member's responses to applicable treatment modalities as well as appropriate nursing interventions
- Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the performance of procedures, and accountability and adherence to policies, standards of care, safety and security regulations, and internal and external regulatory guidelines
- Utilizes critical reasoning in clinical decision making


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Two years, within the last five years, clinical nursing experience within an Oncology/Chemotherapy setting required
- Computer and keyboard experience required
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited school or college of nursing
- Current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio is required
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Oncology Certification ( OCN ) preferred
