<description><![CDATA[<p class="jobLocation">Req Id:  <span>189666</span></p>Under the direction and supervision of a physician who is a specialist (e.g., orthopedics, surgery, emergency medicine), the Physician Assistant II provides high quality, cost-effective patient care by performing surgical preparation procedures, peri-operative and post- operative procedures, and assists in performing surgical and other procedures. A Physician Assistant II may work in the operating room or emergency department in addition to having responsibilities for outpatient clinic and hospital ward duties. <description><![CDATA[<p class="jobLocation">Req Id:  <span>188052</span></p>Under the direction and supervision of a physician who is a specialist (e.g., orthopedics, surgery, emergency medicine), the Physician Assistant II provides high quality, cost-effective patient care by performing surgical preparation procedures, peri-operative and post- operative procedures, and assists in performing surgical and other procedures. A Physician Assistant II may work in the operating room or emergency department in addition to having responsibilities for outpatient clinic and hospital ward duties. A Physician Assistant II may work in the operating room or emergency department in addition to having responsibilities for outpatient clinic and hospital ward duties. The position reports to the Manager of Neuroscience and the Department Chief with the Neuro Oncologist as the supervising/collaborating physician.<br/>- The Neuro Oncology Physician Assistant collaborates with a Neuro Oncologist for overall support of clinical functions on the Neuro Oncology Service as well as the services that interface with Neuro Oncology and Neurosurgery. In addition, the role will assist in the management of patients in the inpatient as well as outpatient areas, triage referrals, communicate with referring physicians, and provide member and family education and support.<br/>- The Neuro Oncology Physician Assistant has primary responsibility for overall management of the administrative, clinical and research functions, day to day rounds, orders, history and physical examinations, new and ongoing outpating consultations monitoring and treating patients as indicated, patient and family education and support, as well as referrals to other services.
