Who We Are: Arlene Rapal

Whether you’re a nurse, an executive, or an actor, at Kaiser Permanente the work you do has a positive impact on the people and communities we serve. For example, the members of our Educational Theatre Program use music, comedy, and drama to inspire audiences of children, teens, and adults to make healthy choices.

Meet Arlene Rapal, a program coordinator of our Arts Integrated Resources department and actor for Educational Theatre. Arlene's passion for acting sparked in Middle School and she hasn't looked back since. Recently, she won an award for best supporting actress for her performance in the musical “Miss Saigon.”

Arlene believes that when she can move ideas from her head to her heart and truly feel something about what she's trying to share or impart, she feels she's done a good job. Watch as she shares how performing onstage connects her with the community and why she feels giving back to others is a gift in itself.
